I think this is a very big change, but as an ideia for future releases, i think that the way the things works could be more flexible. I really don't see the need to conect the units to produce or sell things.
I thing it could be something more simple, like sectors and not units. This would make possible the creation of real supermarkets (that sell lots of stuff and not only 4) and even shoppings (where a person could rent space and put things to sell). For factories, it must be something like retail (many types to create the diferents products) and the products would required many more things to be created. ex.: Sofa would have, cotton, leather, timber and cermical minerals (to create the foam), the sector of purchasing takes care of the purchasing things that you want, and so on. For R&D, it could be put at comercial builds, for example.
I know it is a big change and must be very well studied, but i thing it worth take a look and refine and it could make the game more flexible.

I agree. But it will be a big change in the game. I don't know if it will be profitable for ENLIGHT to invest in such change in the game.
