When we want to buy shares, we can buy a maximum of 5% at a time, we could have the option of increasing this number, that's all, that way we would have an idea of how much we need to spend to buy all of a competitor's shares.

but this is possible in real life, overnight someone can buy 50% of a company in the post market for example
Of course, this would also only be possible with the amount available for purchase, like if I want to buy 11.7% of the shares that someone owns, I couldn't increase it to 12%, or public shares if I only had 22% in the free float, I couldn't buy more than that
