First of all, I want to say that I love the Management Policies for controlling the behavior of your AI managers. They generally work quite well at setting up the AI the way that you want it. In my case, I usually want just want the AI to optimize what I've already set up, and in most cases, it manages to boost the profits of my company without messing things up.
However, I have noticed one major problem when it comes to subsidiaries. There is no option to forbid the AI from issuing bonds or borrowing from banks. I have the AI set to not issue stock and not to expand. After a year or so though, I find that my AI CEO has issued so many bonds that the subsidiary has fallen to a D credit rating, and the interest on those bonds is so high that it is preventing the subsidiary from making a profit. This basically forces me to use the parent corporation to bail out the subsidiaries every few game years.
Could you please just add a feature that allows the players to control whether or not the subsidiary CEO is allowed to issue bonds or borrow money from a bank? If I could prevent it from doing that, the subsidiary DLC would be nearly perfect (I'm trying to use it to create a series of 'drop-down MLPs' and it would work perfectly as long as the AI doesn't mess up my decisions on the financial structure of the subsidiaries).

I second this idea.
It should be noted however that it is likely your subsidiary is getting into debt due to it's inability to make any money. Hence even if it can't get into debt it may still need bailouts anyway.
Still a good idea though as it at least alerts you earlier if there is a financial problem.

That would have been my thought, but the corporate detail screen actually shows that my subsidiary is more profitable than the parent corporation!Stylesjl wrote: Tue Jun 18, 2024 7:40 pm I second this idea.

Then again, I've been seeing another issue where my company is supposedly making hundreds of millions a year (based on the income statement, the game UI, and the corporate detail screen) but my cash balance actually goes down every month. Maybe the two are related.

I'm delighted to inform you that the dev team has scheduled this to be implemented in the next major version 10.1.
